Cathedral of Toledo. Stained Glass windows

From the l4th century northern rose window, the western window or "dahlia" to the 18 th century replacements, the monumental series of windows is distributed, on superimposed levels, in such a way that the whole is endowed with a quality of light unknown in other religious buildings.

Jacobo Delfin and his assistant Luis, Pedro Bonifacio, Cristóbal, Pedro el Alemán, Vasco de Troya, Juan de la Cuesta, Alejo Jiménez, Nicolás Vergara and Francisco Sánchez Martínez made it possible for the sunlight, sifted through the coloured glass, to dissolve into a colouring difficult to imagine without having seen it.
